Zid store design and setup, online and across your branches.
We design and set up Zid stores for Saudi retailers, especially those that sell online and in physical branches. We build your storefront on Zid's Vitrin theme engine, prepare Zid Pay, ZidShip and the Zid cashier so stock stays in sync, and migrate your catalogue, giving you a documented Zid store that is ready to trade from launch day.

Who Zid suits better than most platforms.
Zid is a Saudi commerce platform with its own payments (Zid Pay), shipping (ZidShip), point of sale, inventory and the Mazeed marketplace. Its clearest strength is running online and in-store selling from one dashboard.
Zid's cashier shares stock between your online store and your branches, so a sale in one place updates the quantity in the other. Zid says the cashier is free with paid plans and runs on phones, tablets or other devices.
If you sell only online and have not chosen a platform yet, read our Salla vs Zid vs Shopify guide first. This page is for merchants who have chosen Zid or are leaning towards it.
- Retailers with one or more physical branches that want one stock count across channels.
- Merchants who want shipping through one contract with several carriers, rather than an account with each.
- Brands that want marketplace reach through Zid's own Mazeed marketplace alongside their store.
Zid store services, end to end.
This page covers Zid specifically. For our wider e-commerce work, see E-commerce Development.
- Theme design: customising a Zid Theme Market theme, or building a custom theme on Vitrin, Zid's theme engine of Jinja templates and JSON settings.
- Store setup: categories, product options, VAT and invoice settings, policies and the business details Saudi rules require you to display.
- Zid Pay and BNPL: preparing your documents for Zid Pay review and enabling Tamara, Tabby or other instalment providers.
- ZidShip and carriers: choosing carriers by coverage and cash-on-delivery support, and setting delivery options customers understand.
- Branches and POS: setting up the Zid cashier per branch so online and in-store stock stay in sync.
- Migration to Zid: moving products, customers and content from Salla, Shopify, WooCommerce or a custom site, with redirects from old URLs.
Zid's plans at time of writing.
Your Zid subscription is paid to Zid and is separate from any design or development work. The CSS customisation and invoice and tax settings that most branded stores need appear from the Growth plan in Zid's comparison table.
| Plan | Published price | Team members | Notable inclusions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | 1 | Bank transfer and cash on delivery; shipping via Zid; Mazeed listing |
| Rise | SAR 99/month | 1 | Custom domain, advanced payment methods, live chat support |
| Growth | SAR 299/month | 5 | Invoice and tax settings, CSS interface customisation |
| Professional | On request | 20 | Everything in Growth; priced by Zid's sales team |
Payments and shipping, the Zid way.
Zid Pay charges a per-transaction fee that depends on your Zid plan and the payment method, with VAT excluded. On the Growth plan Zid publishes rates from 1% + SAR 1. Deposits arrive every 2–3 days, with a SAR 100 minimum and a SAR 3 fee per deposit that Zid waives for Riyad Bank accounts.
To activate Zid Pay, the owner verifies their identity through Nafath. Individuals provide an ID, a freelance document, a national address and a bank certificate; companies provide a commercial registration, articles of association, IDs and a bank certificate. Zid's payments page lists Tamara, Tabby, MISPay, Emkan and Madfu as instalment options.
ZidShip puts several carriers under one contract, with fees deducted from your Zid wallet. Branch drop-off rates published by Zid are below.
| Carrier | Starting price | Cities covered | Cash on delivery |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPL | SAR 20 for first 10 kg | 99 | No |
| Aramex | SAR 23 for first 10 kg | 235 | Yes |
| SMSA | SAR 23 for first 10 kg | 150 | Yes |
| Aramex (GCC) | SAR 34 for first 0.5 kg | 493 | No |
Registration and ZATCA, set up correctly.
If your Zid orders also need to reach an ERP or accounting system, see e-commerce, ERP and ZATCA integration.
- Store documentation: since March 2023 the Ministry of Commerce documents online stores through the Saudi Business Center's Business Platform (business.sa) instead of Maroof.
- Legal identity: Zid Pay accepts a freelance document for individuals and a commercial registration for businesses, so decide which route fits before you apply.
- ZATCA e-invoicing: Zid's help centre documents a native connection to ZATCA's FATOORA platform. You enter your legal name, VAT number and address, then confirm with a one-time code generated in the FATOORA portal.
- Branch invoices: Zid's POS settings let you show your VAT number and ZATCA QR code on printed invoices.

Who this is for, and who it isn't.
- A good fit: retailers with branches who want online and in-store stock managed together.
- A good fit: Salla or Shopify merchants moving to Zid who want the move planned and tested, not rushed.
- A good fit: brands entering the Kingdom whose team works in English and needs Zid's setup explained clearly.
- Probably not a fit: businesses that need complex B2B pricing or custom checkout logic. A different platform or a custom build may suit you better.
- Probably not a fit: anyone who only wants the cheapest possible template install. Freelance marketplaces serve that need.

Questions answered.
Should I choose Zid or Salla?
Choose Zid if you run physical branches and want one stock count across your store and shops, or if you want shipping through a single contract. Both are Saudi platforms with Arabic dashboards, local payments and ZATCA tooling, so for online-only stores the choice often comes down to fees, themes and apps. Our Salla vs Zid vs Shopify guide compares them in detail.
How much does Zid store design cost?
It depends on the scope, so we quote after a short scoping call rather than publishing a fixed price. The main cost drivers are whether you adapt a Theme Market theme or need a custom Vitrin theme, catalogue size, branches and POS setup, and migration. Your Zid subscription is separate: at time of writing Rise is SAR 99 a month and Growth SAR 299 a month.
Can you move my store from Salla to Zid?
Yes. Zid's help centre documents moving from Salla by exporting products and customers as CSV or Excel files and importing them into Zid. We plan the move so images, options, prices and customer data come across correctly, set up redirects from your old URLs, place a test order and only then point your domain at Zid.
Can a Zid store accept mada, Apple Pay, Tabby and Tamara?
Yes, through Zid Pay and Zid's instalment partners. Zid Pay's terms cover mada and Apple Pay transactions, and Zid's payments page lists Tamara, Tabby, MISPay, Emkan and Madfu as instalment options. Each needs approval: Zid Pay reviews your documents after Nafath verification, and BNPL providers have their own merchant agreements. We prepare your store and test each method before launch.
Does Zid work for shops with physical branches?
Yes, and that is where Zid stands out. The Zid cashier runs on phones, tablets or other devices, gives each branch its own register and shares stock with your online store, so a sale in one place updates the other. Zid says the cashier is free with paid plans. We set up branches, staff and stock locations so the numbers match from day one.
Do I need a commercial registration to sell on Zid?
You need either a commercial registration or a freelance document. Zid Pay accepts a freelance document, ID, national address and bank certificate for individuals, and a commercial registration, articles of association and bank certificate for companies. Online stores are also documented through the Saudi Business Center's Business Platform. Confirm your own case with the Ministry of Commerce if you are unsure.
